Nathan Hambrook-Skinner is Managing Director and Head of Insurance and Risk at MHP Group, leading the firm’s specialist advisory work for insurers, brokers, managing agents, reinsurers and professional services firms. He helps leadership teams navigate complex risk environments, strengthen corporate reputation and sharpen strategic narratives amid rising scrutiny and structural change.

A former journalist, Nathan blends media instincts with senior advisory experience across global agencies and major insurance brands. He has held leadership roles at FTI Consulting (Managing Director, Insurance), Willis Towers Watson (Director of Global Communications) and Lloyd’s of London, where he led brand, marketing and communications across the UK and Americas and advised the executive team.

Nathan has counselled global brokers, insurers, reinsurers and financial institutions on corporate reputation, market positioning and regulatory, geopolitical and climate-related risk. He’s recognised for building high-impact narratives and guiding executives through transformation, volatility and growth.

He is also active in the charitable sector. Nathan serves the Lloyd’s Foundation, supporting philanthropic programmes across the market, and founded The Dear Toby Trust in memory of his son, Toby. The charity focuses on childhood cancer research and accelerating the development of kinder, more effective treatments for rare paediatric cancers.

Nathan holds a BA in History and an MA in Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies from Cardiff University.
