Closing health gaps for good

We drive equitable access to care by amplifying the voices of diverse communities at every step of the pathway.

Through collaboration with healthcare providers, decision-makers and community networks, we deliver authentic engagement and inclusive strategies that reach underserved and underrepresented populations.

Designed in partnership with Rochelle Burgess, Professor of Global Mental Health and Social Justice at UCL, our approach is rooted in the belief that lasting change occurs when people are empowered to take an active role in their care.

At the core of all our advocacy strategies is trust. We combine behavioural insight, digital analytics, and grassroots networks to build a deep understanding of the communities we aim to serve.

By identifying real barriers and enablers to access, we help clients partner with healthcare systems to create solutions that are practical, culturally responsive and capable of delivering long-term impact

Our campaigns and programmes are shaped by lived experience. We create space for patients, carers and communities to lead, designing advocacy that treats people as partners. Whether we’re supporting better access to care, driving earlier diagnosis, or influencing national policy, we work to ensure every voice is heard and valued.

Our approach

We recognise that traditional, top-down models of advocacy frequently prioritise engagement with those who are already active or well-resourced to participate and overlook those who need the most support.

That’s why we’ve developed the MHP People Centric Advocacy Model, a structured four-step framework to ensure advocacy is inclusive, accountable and grounded in the realities of people’s lives.

This approach equips our clients to build meaningful, trusted relationships with communities that have historically been underserved, enabling engagement that is inclusive, intentional, and grounded in respect.

What we do

We work with leading pharma companies, health charities and campaign groups to provide comprehensive advocacy services grounded in insight and designed for impact. Our work spans strategy development through to campaign delivery, ensuring patient and carer voices are heard and embedded throughout.

Strategy and planning

We design inclusive, insight-led strategies that align community needs with organisational goals and system-level change. This includes long-term advocacy planning, behavioural insight, and audience mapping.

Patient and community engagement

We work alongside patients, carers and communities to ensure their voices are central to every stage of advocacy. Through advisory boards, patient panels and co-creation workshops, we create space for people to share their experiences and shape the decisions that affect them.

Campaign delivery and storytelling

We develop bold, authentic campaigns that reflect real lives and inspire real action. Our creative work prioritises community-led narratives and social activation with trusted messengers.

Coalition and secretariat support

We provide strategic, operational and creative support to coalitions and working groups, helping to maintain momentum and ensure partnerships remain effective over time.

Why it matters

Health advocacy is most effective when it's personal. When people feel heard, seen, and supported.

At MHP, we don't create advocacy strategies in isolation. We build them with the people they're meant to serve, and with a clear goal: to close health gaps for good.

Because real change doesn't come from doing more of the same, it comes from working together with empathy, evidence and equity at the heart of everything we do.
