We utilised our extensive in-house knowledge of the food and drink sector – from farming and production through to supply chains, consumer interventions and more – to produce a comprehensive political and regulatory risk audit for Müller. As part of our research, we interviewed a number of industry experts, including policymakers, trade associations and trade unions, to gather additional insights and to test our initial hypotheses on the direction of policy travel and possible commercial implications for Müller.
Having identified and assessed the external risks and opportunities for Müller, we designed a programme of engagement with government and leading decision-makers. The programme seeks to recruit parliamentary allies and advocates on each of Müller’s core risk areas. In that way, Müller is able to build relationships with leading stakeholders about its business model whilst recruiting advocates who can be called on when the time arises.
