Following Keywords’ successful IPO, the company’s ambitious growth strategy saw it execute a series of bolt-on acquisitions to expand its service offerings and global footprint.
The challenge was to ensure that the acquisitions and their integration were communicated effectively, that Keywords was seen as a good owner of those acquisitions, supporting their organic growth as part of a larger group whilst nurturing the natural entrepreneurialism in the acquired businesses. In turn, this underpinned Keywords’ investment case.
This strategy was highly successful, with MHP supporting Keywords as it executed over 60 acquisitions around the world. Our advice and execution ensured Keywords’ strategy was well received, contributing to its strong stock market performance and positioning as a compelling home for acquisitions.
Over the decade we worked with Keywords, we supported its growth into one of the most successful and largest companies on AIM, culminating in its acquisition by EQT for £2.1bn in October 2024.
