Here is an abridged version of PR Week’s explanation for our win. For the full version of their article, click here.

Like many corporate affairs agencies, MHP Group’s specialisms lie in technology, health and financial services, but its approach to these areas is anything but dull.

The agency’s top priority is client retention and growing relationships organically; 55 per cent of retained clients increased spend over the past year, and three-quarters (75 per cent) now work with more than one MHP team… It was also a record year for new corporate affairs client wins, with 30 new briefs including for Sky and Novartis.

Specific areas of focus have included helping brands stand out from competitors – such as shifting perception of the Met Office from weather forecaster to data consultancy – as well as integrated tech, thanks to MHP’s acquisition of boutique firm Tuva; and health communications, after building a new integrated team.

AI-led consultancy is a priority too, but human creativity has never been more prominent at MHP. Its creative engine, Studio La Plage, works alongside corporate teams to enhance  campaign storytelling…. More widely, MHP invests in a whole host of networks, audience insight and behavioural science initiatives. Most notably, it has been hosting annual journalism awards, 30 To Watch, for more than a decade.

“MHP Group is not only anticipating where the industry is going, but already building it,” concurred our judging panel.
