Jack Petch joins MHP Group’s insurance and risk practice as a director. In this new role, he reports to Nathan Hambrook-Skinner, the managing director and head of the division.
Jack Petch has spent the past four years managing PR and media at insurance marketplace Lloyd’s of London. Prior to this, he served as chief press officer for the Cabinet Office and a senior press officer for the Department for Exiting the European Union.
His arrival at MHP follows a series of account wins for the insurance and risk practice, the agency said, it having recently secured briefs with the Ardonagh Group and C-Quence, as well as advising FTSE 100 insurer Beazley on its £8.2bn acquisition by Zurich.
Commenting on his new role, Petch said: “Insurance has never been more important or more closely scrutinised. The market is navigating geopolitical volatility, emerging risks, changing regulation and rapid technological disruption. Clear, credible communications are now a commercial imperative.
“I’m excited to join the team, help clients tell more powerful stories and build on the practice’s impressive momentum.”
Hambrook-Skinner referred to Petch as “a major addition” to the team, adding: “He understands the insurance market, knows the media landscape and has the judgement and relationships needed to advise businesses through moments of opportunity, scrutiny and change.”
