Equinix has hired MHP Group to support its corporate PR programme in the UK.

The brief will encompass strategic communications, media relations and campaign objectives.

The work will be spearheaded by the MHP Technology team, which was created after MHP Group’s acquisition of UK tech consultancy Tuva Partners in 2024.

James Kennedy, head of MHP Technology, said: “Winning the opportunity to support such a globally significant business is an important milestone for MHP Technology.

“We’re excited to bring our strategic, creative and media expertise to elevate Equinix’s profile in the UK and tell the story of how its infrastructure is underpinning the technologies shaping our world.”

Tom Farthing, PR manager EMEA at Equinix, added: “The digital infrastructure and data-centre industry is more under the spotlight than ever before as the public, governments and businesses recognise the vital role companies like Equinix play in everyone’s daily lives. As interest in the sector continues to ramp up, we are happy to have appointed MHP as our UK PR agency.”

Established 25 years ago, Equinix has more than 200 data centres worldwide, providing digital infrastructure to more than half of the Fortune Global 500 companies. It works with businesses such as Netflix, Zoom, Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services.

PRWeek UK understands that comms consultancy APCO is the incumbent agency for the EMEA account. The agency was contacted for comment but had not responded at the time of publication.

In 2023, the digital infrastructure company also worked with The Romans on a corporate comms brief.

MHP Group is the country’s 12th-largest agency, with UK revenue of £40m in 2024, according to PRWeek’s latest UK Top 150 Consultancies ranking. Its 220-strong team works for clients ranging from HelloFresh and Ocado Retail to AstraZeneca and Spotify.
