Following a competitive pitch process, MHP Group has been appointed by Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V as its strategic communications partner in EMEA, helping to build and manage its reputation as a sustainability pioneer.
Mitsubishi Electric is a market leader in energy efficient heating and cooling technologies, which have a crucial role to play in meeting Europe’s Net Zero ambitions. Globally, the company is a major player in diverse sectors, including automation, transportation, energy and space.
Led by Senior Director Sam Holl, the MHP team will provide corporate communications and issues management support across the EMEA region, including communications planning, social media strategy, multichannel campaigning, media relations and crisis counsel.
The appointment is the latest win for MHP’s fast-growing Brand & Reputation team, which advises clients on complex business challenges. Other recent wins in the cleantech space have included Breakthrough Energy, Siemens Energy, Destination Nuclear and autonomous vehicles company, Wayve.
MHP Group Deputy CEO, Nick Barron, said:
“Mitsubishi Electric Europe plays a vital role in decarbonising the built environment, which is one of the biggest challenges we face in the race to Net Zero. With a major manufacturing facility in the UK and operations across EMEA, they have an incredible story to tell and we are delighted to have been chosen to help them tell it.”
Hans-Joerg Hinkel, EMEA Head of Communication and Sustainability for Mitsubishi Electric, added:
“We were looking for a partner with industry leading strategic media capabilities, outstanding experience in the cleantech sector and a deep understanding of our business challenges and opportunities. We found that partner in MHP Group.”
