Oliver Hughes, Head of Capital Markets, was named Financial Professional of The Year. Oliver leads MHP’s 30-strong Capital Markets team, which is now ranked as one of the UK’s leading financial communications firms. Oliver specialises in business-critical communications and has advised some of the world’s leading organisations on mergers & acquisitions, shareholder activism, corporate campaigns, and crises. He is a senior consultant to clients and has recently advised on high-profile corporate situations His strategic communications work was central in driving advocacy amongst investor, political and other stakeholders.
Best M&A or Communications in Support of a Transaction Award
We were named the winner for Best M&A or Communications in Support of a Transaction Award for our work on Ultra Electronics acquisition by Cobham. Being a client of over fifteen years, the team supported Ultra Electronics on the transaction by making it clear that Ultra had a strong independent future, resulting in praise by the media including one headline from The Times: “To put up or shut up? Ultra Electronics’ results made that an easy decision for Cobham”.
The win follows our recent shortlist for PRWeek Corporate, City & PA Awards, where Oliver Hughes, Head of Capital Markets, is also shortlisted for Corporate and/or Financial Comms Professional of The Year (Agency).
